Post-Punk, Indie Rock (Greece)
Black Sand were formed in Patras/Greece in 2021. They play improvisational, guitar-based rock, with several doses of noise. Their members have been playing together for several years, rehearsing and participating in local live events from time to time, as well as being/were members of other bands such as The Moofs, Anger Department, Astronuts, Goodbye Bedouin & Seven to Rhine. The influences are many such as The Stooges, Velvet underground, Sonic Youth, post punk, indie rock and psychedelia.
Black Sand consists of:
Giorgos Arlapanos - lead guitar,
Giorgos Amaxas - drums, tambourine, maracas,
Yiannis Pantazopoulos - bass,
Menios Lampropoulos - rythm guitar, voice
Menios Lampropoulos is also a member of Seven to Rhine and runs the solo project Slow Eyed
